Loved Up at The Lodge

Back in April we got an email through to our account which was a little unusual to the things that we normally receive. It was from Tony, who used to live in Surrey, but now lives in New Zealand, where he and his wife, Jo, relocated to. They were planning a trip back over to the UK, and Tony had a romantic surprise planned for his wife – to propose all over again in the exact location where it happened the first time, twenty-five years ago…

Jo’s dad used to be the cemetery manager over 25 years ago, and well before the Lodge was used as a nursery, it was where Jo and her family lived. Jo and Tony got engaged in the kitchen of the lodge, all of those years ago, and Tony wanted to recreate this romantic scene as they approach their 25th wedding anniversary. Plus, it was the first time that either of them had been back in Surrey for a long time, so the whole thing was going to be special.

Maz took this on to arrange with Tony, which happened when the nursery was closed to the children. It was a really special time and we’re glad that we were able to help them to recreate this special moment.

Congratulations again, to Tony and Jo!
